After a later night shower and doing a few bits of laundry I managed to partake in our free breakfast for the first time, and what a great view from the hotel restaurant with the stadium in sight!
In the afternoon we decided to brave the local public bus transit to make our way to the official FIFA Fan Fest you watch Brazil v Mexico. It was a mere R$2 and 40 minutes and a barrio your later and about 12km north of the stadium we arrived. It was a gorgeous ocean view.
Inside the fan fest was a fantastically patriotic crowd. Even the security and maintenance crew had a chance to enjoy the event. The good options were slim, so we opted for just beverages. The game was goalless, but exciting nonetheless with Mexican keeper Ochoa making some miraculous saves to make Mexico proud to capture a point from the 5 time World Champions.

After the match we headed out to get food, and how lucky to have so many street vendors to choose from where we enjoyed BBQ meat and cheese accompanied by the best caipirinha we've tasted. We had another chance encounter with Amy's buddy Allan who proposed to her again and introduced his father, so this time I think it's for real. Jim and I braved street corn on the cob, mine ended up in the trash while his ended up in the hands of a tranny.
With a 3am flight looming, Jim and I headed into Porta Negra to pass the time while Amy had the later early flight and opted to sleep. Or was hopping but not messing you the degree it was after the US match. Warning you all straight men to always check for an Adam's apple before chatting up the lovely ladies!
