Manaus - Part III US v Portugal (2-2)

Once we arrived on the dock, some of us jumped on the bus while our new friends Daniella, Henry, Matt & JP grabbed a cab to head to the fan fest.  The bus driver indicated that it was about 30 minutes away. About 40 seconds after boarding and barely being seated, we stopped right in front of the fan fest.  Taken by yet another scheister!  At least we got there just in time to catch Ghana-Germany.
So back in town, Jack informed us that there were no rooms at the Rei Arthur so he sent us to what I would guess is the seediest, dirtiest hourly "hotel" in all of Manaus.  Complete with mirrored ceilings and what I can only presume is a suitcase stand...or perhaps some other sort of prop that I dare not imagine.
Caipirinhas were in order so we headed to the city center where we "met" more new friends.
 Game Day! Ames and Sara.
Henry, me, Matt, Daniella & JP.
 Pregaming w/the Gang!
 Preparations...
And the walk up, I again ran into Dave (the Seattle native to whom I sold tickets for both Ghana and Portugal matches).
 Arena Amazonas!
Dempsey & Beckerman.
 Tim-my How-ard
 I BELIEVE!
 Wait, what?! They equalized?!
 Duh!
 Post-gaming with Captain Cap (caipirinha)
 Live music/dancing.
 Chocolate stuffed churros!
Robbie and Stuart were troopers in their wool kilts in the stifling heat and humidity!
Brazil v Cameroon (4-1)
 Ode to Who Dat dad.

Dancing child who wasn't so good, but sure did draw the crowd!
 Chairs in trees...
And after an insane taxi ride to the airport at 12:30am in the morning, we were headed to Rio!
